Our House

Come In and Take a Look Around…

Sean and I bought our home in Whistler in September 2010.  It’s a 1015 sq. ft. two bedroom condo.  It’s our first house and we haven’t lived in it very long so it still needs some work.

The Entryway

Walking into our house is like getting punched in the face with colour.  This is my current project.  I’m want to organize it so it’s not so cluttered and messy.

The Kitchen/Living Area

The Kitchen.

As you can see we love bright colours.  Maybe someday we’ll put a nice tile backsplash in the kitchen but that’s at the bottom of our “house-to-do” list.  One thing I would change if I had the choice is the stove.  I love everything about our stove except that it has a glass top.  It looks great, when it’s clean, but trying to clean it can be a major pain in the butt.  If I had the choice, I would have gone with a coil top.  It would have been so much easier to clean then.

Our Bedroom

Our bedroom

I’m almost too embarrassed to show you our bedroom.  It looks awful but at least we have a bedroom.  Before we bought our home, we lived in a 400 sq. ft. studio so our bedroom was our living room, and our kitchen, and our storage room.  It was an awful dump so this is actually a HUGE improvement.  If anyone has any suggestions on how we should decorate it I’d love to hear them!

The Second Bedroom

We use the second bedroom as our exercise room/storage room/guest room.  It also needs some work though.  We need to deal with the storage issue as well as hang curtains and paint the walls.

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  If you have any decorating suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
